This cute little pig might just fly with those big, adorable ears, if only he just believes. “I Nose I Can…” is part of Alexander’s growing collection of farm and wild animals. Although her first love is dogs, her paintings include everything from pigs and roosters to bear and deer.

Angela Alexander is an Asheville-based artist specializing in pet portraits, and dogs specifically. Over the years her style has evolved from comedic pop-art caricatures, to the more refined and abstract technique she uses in her art today. The bold colors that characterize her work represent her subject’s energy and personality.
